Single Door Modular Enclosure

Application

Ralston’s MKS Series modular enclosures are designed to provide protection against dust, dirt and oil and water for items such as: electronic and electrical controls, instrumentation systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, machine controls as well as networking and telecommunications applications.

Ralston MKS series is designed around an advanced frame system with an abundance of features, options and accessories; make the MKS one of the worlds most used modular enclosure.

Construction

All MKS enclosures are made from 1.5mm mild steel and have continuously welded seams ground to a smooth finish

The 2mm steel door is easily removed by pulling the removable hinge pins from the hidden hinges. Doors are sealed with an extruded one-piece polyurethane gasket and secured closed with a 4 point locking system. The standard DIN type 3mm pin lock can be replaced with optional locking inserts or a variety of swing handles.

The removable 3 piece bottom plates are made from 1.5mm steel.

The depth adjustable 3mm galvanized interior mounting panel is packaged on the exterior of the enclosure allowing quick and easy access for panel builders.

Finish

All enclosures are phosphatized and finished inside and out with RAL 7035 light grey polyester Powder coating with a textured finish.

Standards

The MKS is built to the requirements of NEMA Type 12 for industrial use, Type 13 for an oil and dust tight enclosure. The MKS is IP55 as well as CE, cUL and UL approved.

Custom units made from stainless steel or with special finishes, sizes or punching can be supplied on order.
