Application:
Ralston's CXI series enclosures are designed to provide explosion protection against hazardous gases, vapors, liquids, flammable fibers and flying or combustible dusts. The CXI is designed for use in hazardous areas such as oil / petroleum refineries, waste water treatment plants. petro-chemical plants, mining facilities, etc. The CXI can be installed in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Construction:
The CXI is made from light-weight copper-free cast aluminum with durable cast mounting feet. The CXI is suitable for surface or panel mounting.
Finish:
The CXI has an attractive wheelabrate finish. The option of a painted finish is available upon request.
Standards:
The CXI is built to requirements of NEMA type 2, 4X, 7 and 9. The CXI enclosure is UL, cUL (for Canada) and CSA (for Canada) certified.
The CXI complies with:
Class I, Div. 1 & 2, Groups B, C + D
Class II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups E, F + G

Options available:
The CXI can be drilled, tapped and supplied with a variety of lights and operators. Also available with the installation of hinges, N4 neoprene gasket, windows and an interior mounting plate.
