Application
Ralston’s RAL-WM Series was especially developed for housing electrical and/or electronic apparatus in all their applications, where because of corrosion, polyester enclosures offer greater advantages than the traditional sheet steel types.

With the RAL-WM's high resistance to corrosion, it is especially recommended for installation in all environments, indoors and outdoors in which dust, humidity, presence of acids, extreme conditions such as snow, ice, tropical climate, etc., make the use of polyester more advantageous.

The RAL-WM Series is ideally suited for offshore and coastal areas, petrochemical plants, water treatment facilities and food processing industries.

Construction
The RAL-WM Series is a new generation of wall-mounted enclosures made from 3mm thick fiberglass reinforced polyester. They are the result of the most modern molding techniques, by which each enclosure is a one-piece construction without joints or external welding - reaching a degree of protection to IP-66. The properties of polyester itself are reinforced by a 30% fiberglass mix, obtaining a high resistance and mechanical rigidity - scale 9 - with a weight approximately 1/3 that of sheet steel enclosures of equivalent dimensions.

The RAL-WM Series has a folded lip around the door opening to provide complete and maximum gasket contact. This, along with a molded drip shield prevents liquids from dripping into the enclosure when the door is open.

Each enclosure’s removable door is equipped with watertight polyurethane-foam seal and anti-corrosion door catches.

The RAL-WM's attractive design, using hinges molded with the door and body, permits a 180° opening of the door; offering maximum accessibility to the interior.

Finish
All enclosures and non-metallic interior mounting panels are RAL7035 light grey. Metal back panels are painted with high gloss white powder coating.

International Standards
RAL-WM enclosures are built to the requirements of NEMA Type 12 specifications for use with industrial controls in ordinary locations, type 13 for an oil and dust tight enclosure, and type 4,4X as a water tight corrosion resistant enclosure. The RAL-WM is built to the requirements of CE and meet IP66.
