Water and Dust Tight Stainless Steel Hinged Cover
Application Ralston’s IBWRH-SS series, JIC enclosures, are designed to provide protection, indoors and outdoors, against dust, dirt, oil, and water for items such as: pneumatic or hydraulic instruments, transformers, and junction wiring. These enclosures are for use in areas such as dairies and breweries where they are subject to frequent high pressure hosing and generally wet conditions.
Construction All IBWRH-SS enclosures are made from 14 ga. #304 or #316 stainless steel with a #4 brush finish. All seams are continuously welded and ground to a smooth finish. Each enclosure comes complete with a removable 14 ga. back panel mounted on four 10-32 weld nuts. Grounding studs are provided on the inside of the box and door, and wall mounting back brackets are welded on the top and bottom outside. The IBWRH-SS door is sealed with a one piece urethane gasket and is secured to the enclosure with a continuous stainless steel piano hinge on one side and stainless steel door clamping hardware on three sides.
Finish All enclosures have a #4 brush finish. Inner back panels are painted with high gloss white powder coating.
Standards IBWRH-SS enclosures are built to the requirements of NEMA type 12 specifications for use with industrial control equipment in ordinary locations, type 13 for an oil and dust tight enclosure, and type 4,4X as a water tight corrosion resistant enclosure.
IBWRH-SS enclosures are CSA certified (File #LL24024) and UL 508 listed (File #E136838) as a type 4,4X enclosure for Canada and the USA.
